JASNA-GCR will launch the 2014 JASNA year of study of Mansfield Park with an exciting program exploring "The 'A's of Mansfield Park: Architecture, Acting and Abolition", with Jeffrey Nigro (JASNA-GCR Regional Coordinator), Russell Clark (Study Group North America) and Marsha Huff (Past President of JASNA), a distinguished panel of experts, moderated by Diane Capitani (JASNA-GCR Education Outreach Director).
Join us for a delightful lunch and program at the Parthenon Restaurant in Chicago's Greektown to discover the changes that came about in the country house, both architecturally and socially in Austen's time, find out what was really going on in "Lovers' Vows", and learn more about the abolitionist movement in Austen's England.
